Under the existing conditions AIJWG’s two decades of efforts is remarkable and
praiseworthy.
The presence of Dr. Farangis Hesidim as chairman of AIJWG’ along with other
members of the Association in various seminars and conferences held within and
outside Iran is an important program of AIJWG and is aimed to introduce the
activities of the Association to Iranians and foreign nationals.
Another important agenda of ALJWG during the last two decades was to organize
lecture sessions and e various scientific and educational workshops for Jewish
women.
Revival of two Jewish kindergartens (namely Yalda 1 and Yalda 2), continuously
attending to their needs with the cooperation of the officials of the Iranian
Jewish Association was another program of AIJWG. In addition to these programs
the AIJWG has launched many meetings and its members have served as expertise
consultants for families, especially for mothers. They have offered educational
programs and organized classrooms to teach the mothers how to raise their
children in a healthy and wise manner.
AIJWG has also launched various festivals, seminars and excursion or religious
tours to fill the empty hours of the Iranian Jewish Women.
The Association of Iranian Jewish Women and Girls has also organized computer
classes, classes for body building, family skills and psychological lectures to
address the mental problems of Jewish families. It has also launched different
exhibitions to display the handicraft and artistic works of Iranian Jewish
women.
In addition to the above programs AIJWG has headed the public health section of
Dr. Sepir Hospital and helped poor families. This is one of the remarkable
activities of ALJWG which is worthy of praise.
The need by Iranian Jewish women of Eastern Tehran to participate in social
programs and attend to lecture sessions or religious meetings or public
excursions has impaled AIJWG to assign efficient and interested women to open a
branch office at Saba Garden (East of Tehran) . Right now that branch of the
Association is seriously engaged in welfare activities.
