2nd Congress of Iran's Jewish Students

   

The 2nd congress of Iran's Jewish students was held in August 2009 for three consecutive days in Tehran. The program was held with the efforts of the members of the Youths Committee in collaboration with Farid Yashar and Bahador Mikaeilian under the support of Tehran Jewish Association. It was managed by Ms. Naghmeh Arabzadeh and Payam Hakhamian. The participants in the congress were 50 students being 14-18 y/o who took part in the congress from 8 Iranian cities including Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Hamedan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Kamyaran and Rafsanjan.
Creation of a suitable environment to introduce social activities to the Jewish students under friendly conditions and to increase their motivation for taking part in group activities as well as to strengthen the spirit of cooperation among them, were the most important targets for which the congress was held.
To achieve these goals, the congress authorities first formed a committee consisting of active students in Jewish youths bodies in Tehran (including Iran's Jewish Students Org., Tehran House of Jewish Youths, Gisha Jewish Youths Org., Bagh Saba Youths Org., Iranian Jewish Knowledge and Research Foundation) and they took the advantages of their cooperation and advices for better planning and executing of the congress
