Harav Or-sheragah is son of Shemuel, Giath mullah’s son, from David Hamelekh dynasty.

He was originally from Sabzevar but he moved to Yazd, he had a vast knowledge of Torah and Kabala so he became a spiritual leader (Rabbi) in Yazd.

Jews, non-Jews and governor respected him because of his miracles.

He tought Torah all the time and just on Fridays and or the day before Yom-Tov went out to buy things for Shabbat and Yom-Tov.

He contacted with “Mullah Moshe Halevi” in Kashan and “Mullah Dariush” in Shiraz.

It’s said that Elyahu Hanavi inspired him during studding Torah.

There are 2 letters that he wrote to Jews of Mashhad in 1782, 1783.

He passed away on 28 Heshvan 5554 in Yazd. Iranian Jews visit his shrine every year.
